Introduction

 Hi everyone! I began studying information processing about a month ago. So far I have found information processing very interesting and it has been fun. Information processing studies were not my original plan for my studies. I ended up applying for information processing studies because a few of my friends who already studied strongly recommended this. I researched a lot about information processing and found it quite interesting. I found out there is a lot of jobs in this field and quite good salaries which both were good reasons for me to apply. My friends told me there is a lot of teamwork in information processing and this was good for me as I like to work in teams. I also found out information processing requires some amount of problem solving and I think I am quite allright at solving problems so i thought I could find these studies suitable for me. And fortunately I was right. 

 

During the first week of the studies we already had our first project to do. As teams we had to create a news reporter app that could read QR codes. This was quite a challenge in the first week but it ended up being very fun and useful as it gave a preview to what information processing studies include. I worked in a team with other students and we got to know each other during the project. The challenging part was creating an app that could read QR codes, as none of us had done anything like this before. As a team we still managed to create the app and I learned a lot during this project. I learned the basics of teamwork in information processing and the importance of planning when creating apps or software. I am proud of this project because even though we found this very challenging at first, we managed to pull it off and worked very well as a team. 

 

During these studies i wish to learn better formal English. I think my informal English is quite good but i could improve a lot in writing and speaking formal English. I also would also like to learn more information processing related vocabulary.
